I am selling my truck – 1949 Ford F6 COE project – unfinished
Body - 1949 Ford F6 COE
Frame - 1975 GMC 1-Ton
Engine - 12v, 5.9 Cummins (from 1997 Dodge Ram)
Transmission - Allison AT542 Automatic Transmission
Rear - Dana 80 dually
Originally this truck was destined to become a car hauler, but I wont be able to finish the project unfortunately due to some pending health issues and a move, and am thus selling it as-is.
Frame is custom stretched and widened to accommodate the Cummins behind the cab; and is sealed in black POR-15.
Body is complete and 99% painted. The only things left to paint are the front pop-up vent, glovebox door, and 2 side skirts that go under the cab. Body is a gunmetal metallic and looks really nice – 3 coats of base, 3 coats of clear. Leftover paint is included with the truck. Under body sprayed with textured bed liner. Interior is sprayed with sound deadening material. All trim parts are powdercoated black and look awesome against the gunmetal. Body has several custom touches – shaved hood trim and emblems, dash was filled in for new gauges – several gauges included, just needs a few other to complete, as well as a radio.
Here’s what’s left to make it driveable though:
Body – Needs new glass/weatherstripping
Brakes - Needs lines & bled, has newer master cylinder and power brake booster already
Steering - Needs steering column and steering wheel, also needs steering links
Drivetrain – Engine runs but need to be put the rest of the way together (I have video of it running). Also, the flywheel needs to be connected to the torque converter; Engine needs new exhaust manifold and turbo (I have the originals, they are just corroded), new belts/hoses/etc; Driveshaft included, but needs new u-joints and needs to be cut to length and re-balanced
Interior - Original seats included, but need recovering; also included are a newer set of bucket seats
Otherwise truck is, as-is, go as mild or wild with the rest of it as you want. I was going to build the ultimate ramp truck but will not be able to finish it – either way, it’s a really cool truck that can have a really cool future for someone.
Comes with bill of sale – should be easy enough to get a title using that, or one for the frame from a junkyard.
PAYMENT NOTES: $1000.00 non-refundable deposit due immediately upon acceptance of offer (within 24hrs). This must be paid in person (cash) OR through paypal to my account, no exceptions. Remainder of money is due in the form of cash upon the date of vehicle pickup.
